What am I currently busy working on?
Graffiti inspired art using tattoo stencil techniques

So what’s new in my studio?
I’ve decided to embark on a deeply emotional piece. This is a large painting that draws from various techniques that have defined me as an artist.
It’s intended to be intense, bold, and expressive—something that may offend some and empower others.
For this painting, I’m attempting to combine three distinct styles into a single work:
Tattoo-style realism
Abstract acrylic
Graffiti-inspired typography
The realism component
My career as an artist has been heavily influenced by tattoo styles and a strong attention to fine line work. When I’m not painting, I’ve been working as a tattoo artist for the past decade, specialising in fine-line tattoos. The centrepiece of this painting is inspired by realism tattooing, and I’ve incorporated the same fine-line stencil approach I would use on a human canvas.

The graffiti component
This painting is all about bold statements, and few art styles capture intense emotional expression quite like graffiti. The lettering also complements the neon colour palette of the piece.

The abstract component
I’ve chosen an abstract style for the background to better convey the emotional tone of the graffiti text.
